Going Green

I have a question for all of you. Last Saturday I was cleaning my bathrooms and thought I was going to pass out from the awful smells of the cleaners. As I was cleaning I decided that things that smell so bad can't be good for me to be around and especially my kids to be around.

So my question is, do any of you use any natural cleaning products? I have looked around on the internet at some but they all cost so much and I am to cheap to buy them unless I know they work. Anyone have any ideas?

I just want to say thanks to everyone who helped me with this. I ended up getting some of the Clorox Green cleaner and I really like it. In case you are wondering the cheapest place to get it is Walmart. $2.50, not bad!

hum...i saw a blog post about this recently. wish i could remember who posted it. i think she said she uses the clorox (sp?) brand of the more earth/people friendly products and likes them. it might be someone who's pregnant & said these bottles don't have warnings all over them. i'm sure they probably sell them at wal-mart or target.

I use the "method" brand. It was on the Oprah show a while ago and I was really impressed with them. You can buy them at target even so more stores are carrying them so you don't have to special order it. The family that owns the company got into it because their son was developing breathing problems and they couldn't find any reason for it until they started removing the regular cleaning products from their house and he improved when they started using the organic cleaners so they actually bought the company.Anyway I have the all purpose cleaner and the dusting stuff and like them both so just a thought!

I just bought the clorox "green" ones to try. I've used them a few times and like them. I got them at Walmart and they cost the same as all the other junk there. $3 or so. I haven't noticed any horrible smell either, but they have a very light nice smell to them if I can remember right. Does that make sense.

my stepmom started using method products from target and her cleaning lady even started buying them and uses them at everyone's homes now that she does, they're a little more expensive but she loves them... i looooooove young living thieves cleaner, i think there is none better, more expensive but a little goes a long way and i believe in the power
:) when i'm on my A game i make quite a few things, i do not suggest making your own dishwasher detergent though, but furniture polish, glass cleaner, and laundry detergent are some easy ones,
Dishwashing detergent i love is seventh generation, i think they sell it at target now, or tj's has a few things i like... good luck...
